Former Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes has said that Lukas Podolski was badly advised over his loan move to Inter Milan.
The 29-year-old joined the Nerazzurri from Arsenal in January, but he has struggled for playing time and has received criticism from the Italian media for his displays.
"Lukas did not get very intelligent advice from his advisers," he told Kicker. "I had him for five weeks at Bayern and with me he played all five games and played very well
"I do not understand how this player can be so different now. [Joachim] Loew in the national team is managing him very well, he is expectional and knows how to handle him, but Podolski must always know that there will be his coach's protective hand."
Podolski became Germany's third all-time goalscorer when he found the net in last week's 2-2 draw with Australia.
