Olivier Giroud hopes to out-score Arsenal teammate Alexis Sanchez this season

Olivier Giroud reveals that he wants to out-score his Arsenal teammate Alexis Sanchez as both are currently on 13 goals apiece.

Olivier Giroud has revealed that he hopes to score more goals than Arsenal teammate Alexis Sanchez by the end of the season.

Both players are tied on 13 goals, but the Chile international has netted just once in his last seven Premier League games.

"I'm not going to say something silly because it'll be reported, but why not finish ahead of Alexis?" Giroud told RMC.

"We push each other, we're on 13 goals, and I would like to score some more to help the team achieve its objectives."

Arsenal are currently third in the league table, seven points behind leaders Chelsea with eight games left to play.
