Emmanuel Frimpong believes that Arsenal are capable of finishing in the top four this season.

Midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong believes that Arsenal are capable of finishing in the top four of the Premier League this season.

The Gunners are currently 15th in the table, winning just one of their opening five matches.

Despite the slow start to the new campaign, the 19-year-old has claimed that the team will come good soon.

"People have written us off this season - and obviously that 8-2 game at Manchester United didn't help," Frimpong told Sky Sports News.

"It was a very difficult situation but the manager has told us it was something that only happens once.

"We started slowly and at the moment we are playing catch-up - but I believe top four would be a good achievement for us."

Arsenal's latest defeat came yesterday away at Blackburn Rovers.
