Arsenal to offer Song new deal

Arsene Wenger is ready to offer Alex Song a new deal which will see him become one of the club's highest earners.

The 24-year-old has established himself as an integral part of the Gunners' midfield this season.

The Cameroon international currently earns £55,000 per week but his contract is set to expire in 2014.

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal chiefs are now ready to boost his pay packet to £75,000 in order to keep him at the club long term.

Song joined the club from Bastia for a fee of £1m in 2006.
