Arsenal Ladies retain Women's Super League title

Arsenal Ladies win Women's Super League for the second successive year, their ninth title in a row.

Arsenal Ladies have won the Women's Super League title for the second year in a row.

Laura Harvey's side accomplished the feat without even kicking the ball on Sunday, as Bristol Academy drew 2-2 with Birmingham City at the Stoke Gifford Stadium.

This means that Arsenal's game against Doncaster Belles at Meadow Park - currently in progress - is academic for the hosts, who needed a Birmingham failure to win on Sunday to clinch the trophy.

Arsenal won the FA Women's Premier League National Division title between 2004 and 2010.
