Arsenal fine Emmanuel Frimpong for Twitter comments

Arsenal have fined Emmanuel Frimpong for comments made on Twitter, according to reports.

Sky Sports News understands that the Gunners have taken action following a charge from the Football Association for improper conduct.

It is not yet known the exact figure of the fine Arsenal have handed to the Ghanaian midfielder.

The FA are investigating claims that Frimpong made derogatory comments on the social networking site that brought the game into disrepute.

Frimpong has until 4pm on July 27 to respond to the FA charge.
