Leicester lineup vs. Arsenal: Predicted XI for Premier League clash amid Jamie Vardy doubt

Will Vardy haunt Gunners again? Predicted Leicester XI vs. Arsenal

Leicester City talisman Jamie Vardy is expected to be fit for Saturday's visit of Arsenal to the King Power in the Premier League.

The 38-year-old missed last Friday's controversial 2-1 FA Cup defeat to Manchester United owing to a knock, but Ruud van Nistelrooy offered a positive update on his fitness on Sunday.

Should Vardy make the cut, he will arrive with an almost unrivalled record against the Gunners; his 11 goals in Premier League games versus Arsenal is only fewer than Wayne Rooney's 12 and Harry Kane's 14.

Patson Daka will be expected to spearhead the charge if Vardy suffers a late setback, but the ex-England international is looking good to displace the Zambian here.

Van Nistelrooy should otherwise see no need to disrupt the attacking harmony, as Bobby Decordova-Reid, Bilal El Khannouss and Jordan Ayew reprise their roles, meaning that ex-Arsenal product Stephy Mavididi must start on the bench.

Wilfred Ndidi and Boubakary Soumare ought to link arms in the middle once more, while Caleb Okoli performed admirably against Man United - making a ridiculous goal-line clearance - and could hold his place even if Jannik Vestergaard recovers from a knock.

The same goes for Luke Thomas at left-back, and the duo will likely comprise part of an unchanged backline with Wout Faes, James Justin - scorer of a brace in September's 4-2 loss at the Emirates - and Mads Hermansen.

Leicester City possible starting lineup: Hermansen; Justin, Okoli, Faes, Thomas; Ndidi, Soumare; Decordova-Reid, El Khannouss, Ayew; Vardy
