Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud could return to action against Reading

Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud could return to action in tomorrow night's EFL Cup clash against Reading after spending a month on the sidelines with a toe injury.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has claimed that Olivier Giroud is likely to make an appearance in tomorrow night's EFL Cup clash against Reading.

The France international has been on the sidelines since suffering a toe injury during the Gunners' 3-0 victory over Chelsea on September 24.

The 30-year-old is in line to make his comeback, but his teammate Aaron Ramsey is being made to wait, despite recently returning to full training.

"I think Olivier will be included, but for Aaron it is too early although he is back in full training now," Wenger told the club's official website.

"[Santi] Cazorla will not be available, but it looked after the game [against Middlesbrough on Saturday] that apart from some tired legs and disappointed minds, we had nothing else to declare."

Arsenal are unbeaten in 12 games in all competitions.
