Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers

Ahead of Arsenal's Premier League clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday, Sports Mole rounds up the Gunners' latest injury and suspension news.

Arsenal switch focus to the Premier League on Sunday with a meeting against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners made it three wins from three in the Europa League on Thursday evening with a 3-0 victory away at Norwegian side Molde.

However, Mikel Arteta's men have won just one of their last five league matches and are down in 12th ahead of this visit of Wolves.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the match.


Gabriel Martinelli

Possible return date: Unknown

While Martinelli is making steady progress in his recovery from a knee injury, the Brazilian is still facing a race against time to feature before the end of 2020.


Pablo Mari

Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: December 3 (vs. Rapid Vienna)

Mari has been absent since June but is now in the final stages of his recovery from an ankle injury. The centre-back could be considered for selection for the home clash with Rapid Vienna at the beginning of December.


Thomas Partey

Type of injury: Thigh
Possible return date: November 29 (vs. Wolves)

Despite suggestions that he could return from a thigh injury to feature against Leeds, Partey played no part at Elland Road. The Ghana international was also left out against Molde, but he will be given a chance of playing this weekend.


Calum Chambers

Chambers recently returned from a long-term injury but has been absent from recent squads, which is thought to be down to a lack of match fitness.


Mohamed Elneny

Type of injury: Coronavirus
Possible return date: November 29 (vs. Wolves)

Elneny tested positive for coronavirus while away on international duty with Egypt and has been self-isolating. The midfielder may be back in contention for Sunday's visit of Wolves, depending on when his first positive test came back.


Sead Kolasinac

Possible return date: November 29 (vs. Wolves)

Bosnia & Herzegovina defender Kolasinac also contracted COVID-19 while on international duty, resulting in him missing out against Leeds and Molde. Like Elneny, the defender will have to record a negative test before returning to the fold.


Bukayo Saka

Possible return date: November 29 (vs. Wolves)

Saka needed to be withdrawn in the closing stages of the goalless draw against Leeds after being on the receiving end of a heavy challenge. Ahead of a relentless period of games, no risks will be taken on the left-sided player.


Willian

Possible return date: November 21 (vs. Wolves)

Like Saka, Willian sustained an issue during the meeting at Elland Road. Arteta has revealed that the Brazilian is suffering with a muscular injury, leaving the winger in a race against time to be fit.


David Luiz

Possible return date: November 21 (vs. Wolves)

Luiz was forced off against Molde in his first game for the club in three weeks, but Arteta revealed after the match that the injury does not appear to be anything serious.
