Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Brighton & Hove Albion

Arsenal injury, suspension list vs. Brighton

Arsenal will be bidding to return to winning ways in the Premier League when they welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners will enter the contest off the back of a 3-0 defeat at Crystal Palace on Monday, which has left them in fifth spot in the table, level on points with fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

Mikel Arteta's side also have a game in hand on Spurs, so the race for a top-four spot is still in their hands heading towards the business end of the campaign.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of the showdown with Brighton, who currently occupy 13th position in England's top flight.

Takehiro Tomiyasu

Status: Out Type of injury: Calf Possible return date: April 20 (vs. Chelsea)

Takehiro Tomiyasu will again be unavailable for selection against Brighton, and the defender is not due back in training with the Gunners until after the clash with Southampton on April 16.

Thomas Partey

Status: Out Type of injury: Thigh Possible return date: Unknown

Thomas Partey had to be replaced against Palace on Monday after aggravating a thigh injury, and the midfielder is now facing a period on the sidelines due to the muscular damage.

Kieran Tierney

Status: Out Type of injury: Knee Possible return date: Unknown

Arsenal will be without the services of Kieran Tierney for the remainder of the season, as the Scotland international prepares to undergo an operation on a knee injury.

Nicolas Pepe

Status: Minor doubt Type of injury: Illness Possible return date: April 9 (vs. Brighton)

Nicolas Pepe was not involved against Palace on Monday due to an illness, but the attacker is expected to be back in the squad against Brighton this weekend.
