Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Huddersfield Town

Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for Champions League-chasing Arsenal ahead of their Premier League clash with Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

Arsenal suffered a forgettable weekend as they slipped from fourth place to sixth in the Premier League table before they even kicked a ball.

Things did not exactly improve when they did get a chance to respond to wins for Chelsea and Manchester United either, with Manchester City cruising to a 3-1 win over Unai Emery's side at the Etihad Stadium.

The Gunners have now lost three of their last five games across all competitions and, having been in the Champions League places on goal difference before the last round of fixtures, they now find themselves three points and seven goals worse off than fourth-placed Chelsea.

Arsenal have suffered some torrid luck with injuries this season, in fairness, and they once again have a lengthy list of absentees ahead of Saturday's match against bottom-of-the-table Huddersfield Town.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for Emery's side.

Like Aubameyang, Koscielny is also suffering from illness and is therefore a minor doubt for the game.

Shkodran Mustafi

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Back
Possible return date: February 9

Mustafi joined Arsenal's list of injury concerns after picking up a back problem against Man City at the weekend, but Emery played down concerns over his fitness and the German could recover in time to feature on Saturday.

Granit Xhaka

Xhaka was a late withdrawal from the squad to face Man City after picking up a groin injury, although his injury is not thought to be serious and he could return in time for this weekend.
