Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Chelsea

Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their Europa League final clash with Chelsea.

Unai Emery can end his first campaign at Arsenal on a major high as his side take on Premier League foes Chelsea in the Europa League final.

The Spaniard was set the target of guiding the Gunners back into the Champions League at the first attempt - something he can achieve by winning UEFA's secondary competition in Baku on May 29.

Arsenal have impressed during their run to the final, overcoming the likes of Napoli and Valencia over two legs to set up this huge showdown with fellow London club Chelsea in Azerbaijan.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their final match of 2018-19.

ARSENAL'S INJURY LIST

Aaron Ramsey

Status: Out
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: Unknown

Ramsey picked up a hamstring injury in the second leg of the Europa League quarter-final with Napoli last month. As a result, the Welshman - heading to Juventus on a free this summer – has played his last game for the club.

Hector Bellerin

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Bellerin picked a serious knee injury against Chelsea in the Premier League at the start of 2019, which has ruled him out for the second half of the season.

Rob Holding

Status: Out
Type of injury: Knee
Possible return date: Unknown

Holding suffered a serious knee injury against Manchester United in December. Like Ramsey and Bellerin, he will not play again this term but should be fit to return for pre-season ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.

Danny Welbeck

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: May 29 (vs. Chelsea)

Arsenal confirmed earlier this month that Welbeck will leave the club on a free transfer at the end of the season. Still recovering from a broken ankle, the Englishman has almost certainly played his last game for the Gunners, though he has not yet been officially ruled out.

Denis Suarez

Status: Out
Type of injury: Ankle
Possible return date: Unknown

Suarez's disappointing short-term loan spell from Barcelona was officially ended last month after failing to recover from a niggling groin injury, forcing him to return to his parent club for further treatment.

Konstantinos Mavropanos

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: May 29 (vs. Chelsea)

Mavropanos lasted a little over half an hour of Arsenal's final Premier League match of the season after picking up a knock at Turf Moor. The two-and-a-half week gap between matches means that the centre-back should be back available for contention to face Chelsea.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no suspension issues ahead of the all-English Europa League final, though they will be without Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan due to political reasons.
