Arsenal lineup vs. PSV Eindhoven: Predicted XI for Champions League clash as Myles Lewis-Skelly returns

Lewis-Skelly back in the lineup? Predicted Arsenal XI vs. PSV

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will have Myles Lewis-Skelly back at his disposal for Tuesday's Champions League last-16 first leg away to PSV Eindhoven.

The teenage left-back was missing from the Gunners' goalless Premier League draw with Nottingham Forest on Wednesday, having been sent off against West Ham United the weekend before.

However, the well-rested Lewis-Skelly is now seemingly nailed-on to win his place back from Riccardo Calafiori, who only lasted until half time at the City Ground after picking up a yellow card.

The remainder of Arteta's backline should remain unchanged, as Jurrien Timber holds off a fit-again Ben White to join Lewis-Skelly, William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes in front of David Raya.

Jorginho was a surprise starter against Forest, but Arteta is now expected to recall Thomas Partey to the number six position, as Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice operate either side of the Ghanaian.

Ethan Nwaneri has suffered from cramp in Arsenal's last two games, but the 17-year-old is a shoo-in for the first XI on Tuesday, where he will emulate Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden as just the third Englishman to start a Champions League knockout game before turning 18.

The 17-year-old should comprise part of an unchanged attacking lineup with Leandro Trossard and Mikel Merino, as Arteta keeps faith in the latter as the emergency number nine.

Kai Havertz (hamstring), Bukayo Saka (hamstring), Gabriel Martinelli (hamstring), Gabriel Jesus (ACL) and Takehiro Tomiyasu (knee) will watch on from the sidelines yet again.

Arsenal possible starting lineup: Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Lewis-Skelly; Odegaard, Partey, Rice; Nwaneri, Merino, Trossard
