Mikel Arteta relishing "massive" Dortmund test

Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta believes that his side are Borussia Dortmund's equal ahead of Wednesday's vital Champions League clash.

Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta has insisted that his side should travel to Borussia Dortmund full of confidence ahead of Wednesday's crunch Champions League clash.

The Gunners head to Germany level on points with both Dortmund and Napoli at the halfway stage in Group F, after losing 2-1 to Jurgen Klopp's side at the Emirates two weeks ago.

Arteta thinks that Arsenal showed they are a match for Dortmund in that meeting, while declaring that they have the belief to earn a result against the Bundesliga giants and put qualification back in their own hands.

He told the club's official website: "No [they weren't the better team], we conceded a goal when we were on top in the game, and were likely to score a second to kill the game. We know in the Champions League against those teams you are limited to small chances, and it was our fault [that we lost].

"It is a massive game again. We knew this week was going to be very tough, so beating Liverpool is a good way to start it. Dortmund will be a very different game, with the way they play, so we will have to get ready for it.

"When you are at the top compared to where we were last season, it feels different. We have more belief and are starting to create a bit of fear into the opposition, that is giving us a better chance to win the games."

Arsene Wenger's side moved five points clear at the top of the Premier League last weekend, beating their closest rivals Liverpool 2-0 thanks to strikes from Santi Cazorla and Aaron Ramsey.
