Amed SK host Istanbul Basaksehir at Diyarbakir Stadium on Sunday evening in the fifth round of the 2026-27 Turkish Super Lig season, with the promoted side looking to maintain their perfect home record.

Besnik Hasi's side have collected seven points from their opening four matches, while the Grey Owls have taken four points and arrive after a narrow defeat to reigning champions Galatasaray.

The Diyarbakir outfit opened the season with a 3-0 victory over Erzurumspor before losing 2-0 at Kocaelispor.

They then produced their biggest result of the campaign by beating Trabzonspor 2-1 at home, before fighting back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Kasimpasa last weekend.

Their performance last weekend demonstrated another useful quality, showcasing their resilience as Gift Orban scored twice, in the 59th and 83rd minutes, to rescue a point, with the Nigerian striker only entering the game after half time.

That unbeaten home record is particularly encouraging given the quality of opposition Amed have already faced at Diyarbakir Stadium, overcoming Trabzonspor after falling behind in the first half, showing enough resilience to turn the match around, while the victory over Erzurumspor was straightforward.

The hosts have scored seven goals in their first four league matches, with five of those coming in their two home fixtures, while they have also conceded five, but only one of those goals came at Diyarbakir, where their defensive awareness becomes considerably stronger.

Basaksehir, meanwhile, have had a more inconsistent opening under Nuri Sahin, kicking off their season with a 2-0 home win over Kocaelispor, before following it with a 2-1 defeat away to Trabzonspor and a 1-1 draw against Kasimpasa.

Their most recent league match produced another defeat, with Galatasaray winning 3-2 at Fatih Terim Stadyumu, extending the Grey Owls’ winless streak to three matches (D1, L2).

The six goals conceded in those four matches are not an alarming total by itself, but Basaksehir have failed to keep a clean sheet since the opening weekend, and that could become an issue against Amed, who have scored in each of their four league matches and have already shown that they can recover from difficult positions.

Amed will be without Yira Sor, who is sidelined with a hamstring injury, otherwise the manager has every other squad member to call on.

Hasi is expected to retain a three-man defensive structure, with Alban Lafont in goal and Lumbardh Dellova, Amadou Cisse, and David Bates likely to be the back three.

Orban could be rewarded for his decisive contribution against Kasimpasa, although Mbaye Diagne remains an option to lead the attack from the start, while Samuel Ballet and Dia Saba are expected to provide width and support in the final third.

Basaksehir are without Umut Bozok, who is suspended after being sent off against Galatasaray, while manager Sahin is also suspended for the match, meaning he will not be on the touchline for the trip to Diyarbakir.

Edin Visca is doubtful with physical discomfort, while Ousseynou Kemen has also been listed as unavailable in the latest team-news reports.
