Norwich City 1-1 Ajax

Chris Hughton's Norwich City have held Ajax to a 1-1 draw in a pre-season friendly at Carrow Road.

The Premier League side were ahead after only seven minutes when Anthony Pilkington curled a superb free-kick into the top corner.

Ajax responded well following the early setback with Christian Eriksen becoming more prominent as the first half continued.

Lasse Schone found the goal for the Dutch club before the break with a long-range strike that left John Ruddy helpless in the Norwich goal.

Neither side pushed for the winner in the second period and the match fizzled out into a draw in East Anglia.
