AC Milan stand firm on keeping Thiago Silva

Milan to reject Silva offers

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has claimed that club owner Silvio Berlusconi is insistent on keeping in-demand defender Thiago Silva at the club.

The 27-year-old has been amid transfer speculation involving potential moves to Paris Saint German, Chelsea, Barcelona and Manchester City.

Despite a hoard of clubs believed to be interested in the defender, PSG have emerged as the favourites to land the star, with reports claiming that a deal is close to being agreed.

While PSG's camp have hinted that a transfer is currently being negotiated, Galliani is adamant that Silva will remain with the Serie A outfit.

"Berlusconi intends to resist all offers from PSG for Thiago Silva," Galliani told Sky Italia.

Silva's contract with Milan does not expire until the summer of 2016.
