Stephan El Shaarawy's fifth goal of the season was enough to see AC Milan overcome Genoa 1-0 at the San Siro tonight.
The 20-year-old struck in the 77th minute to lift the Rossoneri into eighth in Serie A.
El Shaarawy tucked home Urby Emanuelson's cross as the home crowd began to get restless, despite suspicions of offside.
The result sees Genoa drop to 11th in the table, while also relieving pressure on Massimiliano Allegri.
