Half-Time Report: AC Milan unable to break down resolute Chievo

AC Milan have failed to break down AC Chievo Verona in a goalless first half at the San Siro between the pair this evening.

A well-placed pass from Fernando Torres allowed Giacomo Bonaventura to get away the game's first shot of note, although his effort failed to find the target on the 18-minute mark.

Jeremy Menez was the next visiting player to try his luck, firing away from a rebound after finding some space inside the box, yet Francesco Bardi was equal to the effort with a fine reflex save.

Milan continued to add pressure with Keisuke Honda seeing his effort fly narrowly wide of the post, while Torres was involved once more shortly before the interval, failing to make the breakthrough from close range after reacting quickest to a rebound.
