Andrew Considine injury ‘not as serious as first thought’

Aberdeen have allayed fears over the injury suffered by Andrew Considine during their Hampden win over Rangers.

The defender was treated on the pitch for eight minutes during Sunday’s 1-0 Betfred Cup semi-final victory before being stretchered off and taken to hospital.

An Aberdeen statement on Monday read: “We can confirm that the injury sustained by Andrew Considine was not as serious as first thought, with the player now back at Pittodrie, having suffered a neck injury which is likely to keep him out of the squad for Wednesday’s match against Hamilton.”
