England rebuild on day two of Ashes warm-up clash on 270-2

England reach 270-2 on day two of their Ashes warm-up clash against Western Australia, chasing a first-innings total of 451.

England have responded to Western Australia's first innings by closing day two on 270-2.

The visitors took to the crease after their opponents declared on 451-5, with Michael Carberry racking up 78 runs from 100 balls, while Joe Root managed 36 before falling to Jim Allenby.

Jonathan Trott and Ian Bell took over at the crease to reach a combined run total of 141, with both players remaining unbeaten by stumps.

England are currently 181 runs behind the home team's first innings total.
