Chris Rushworth critical of Durham duo's England exclusion

Chris Rushworth hits out at the decision to leave his Durham teammates Scott Borthwick and Mark Stoneman out of the England Lions squad.

Durham's Chris Rushworth has insisted that it is "incredible" that his teammates Mark Stoneman and Scott Borthwick have not been included in the England Lions squad for the upcoming tour of South Africa.

Reports had suggested that the pair were going to be included in the 14-man party, but despite their positive form at county level last season, both have been overlooked.

"2 lads pass 1000 runs 2nd consecutive year on 'bowler friendly' wicket apparently. Both been overlooked! Incredible," the bowler wrote on Twitter.

It was also speculated that Rushworth had been under consideration for a place in the squad, yet he has also missed out.
