No England player in ICC ODI Team of the Year 2014

India captain MS Dhoni is included in the ICC ODI Team of the Year for the seventh year in succession, but there is no England representation in the XI.

England have no representatives in the ICC ODI Team of the Year 2014, which includes India captain MS Dhoni for the seventh year in succession.

Joe Root and Stuart Broad have both been named in the Test team but England's struggles in limited-overs cricket are evident in their absence from the 50-over side.

Dhoni skippers a side which also contains South African duo AB de Villiers and Dale Steyn, who are the only two players to be honoured in both formats.

There are six first-timers in the XI - Australia's George Bailey and James Faulkner, South Africa's Quinton de Kock, Pakistan's Mohammad Hafeez, India's Mohammad Shami and West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo.

ICC ODI Team of the Year 2014: Mohammad Hafeez, Quinton de Kock, Virat Kohli, George Bailey, AB de Villiers, MS Dhoni (wk, c), Dwayne Bravo, James Faulkner, Dale Steyn, Mohammad Shami, Ajantha Mendis; 12th man: Rohit Sharma
