Keaton Jennings to make Test debut for England in fourth clash against India

Jennings to make England Test debut

England captain Alastair Cook has confirmed that Keaton Jennings will make his Test debut in the fourth match against India in Mumbai on Thursday.

The 24-year-old South African-born cricketer, who scored his first century for the England Lions last week, will play alongside Cook at the top of the order.

Jennings and Liam Dawson were called into the England squad last week as replacements for injured duo Haseeb Hameed and Zafar Ansari.

In Wednesday's press conference, Cook told reporters: "He is going to play. He is going to open the batting - another great opportunity for a guy. He's in good touch, has spent some time in the middle for the Lions - making a hundred - and it is a very special day for him tomorrow."

England are currently trailing the four-Test series 2-0.
