England wrap up South Africa innings

Steven Finn, Stuart Broad and Graeme Swann took a wicket each in the morning session as England bowled out South Africa for 309 in the first Test at Lord's.

The tourists began the second day on 262-7 largely thanks to lower-order contributions from JP Duminy and Vernon Philander.

Philander was the last wicket to fall this morning when he was stumped off Swann for a joint-top score of 61.

Stuart Broad had earlier dismissed Dale Steyn for 26. Morne Morkel also chipped in with a useful 25 before he was caught behind off Finn as the Middlesex paceman finished with figures of 4-72.

England will begin their first innings at approximately 12.15pm, with Andrew Strauss opening the batting in his 100th Test.
