England call on Jade Dernbach to act as cover for Tim Bresnan

England have called up Jade Dernbach to the squad for their one-day international series against New Zealand to act as cover for Tim Bresnan.

The England and Wales Cricket Board have announced that Dernbach could be called on if Bresnan needs to leave the series to be with his wife, who is due to give birth during the campaign.

England begin the series with their first one-day international against the Black Caps at Lord's tomorrow following their Test series victory earlier this week.

Dernbach last represented England in an ODI in February this year for their Twenty20 campaign against New Zealand.
