Ian Bell is a doubt for England's first Test against Pakistan after picking up a wrist injury.

England have been hit with an injury blow ahead of their Test series against Pakistan after Ian Bell sustained a wrist problem at nets.

The batsman will undergo an X-ray on his left wrist, which has been dubbed a 'precaution' by a spokesman for the international side.

If the 29-year-old is ruled out of the opening Test tomorrow, then England will be forced to make a last-minute change in their lineup.

Meanwhile, bowler Stuart Broad has calmed fears over a foot injury after coming through a full practice today.
