Glenn McGrath to be inducted into ICC Hall of Fame

Australian Glenn McGrath is announced as the latest inductee into the ICC Hall of Fame.

The ICC have announced that former Australia fast bowler Glenn McGrath will be the latest inductee into its Hall of Fame.

McGrath, who has taken more wickets in Test cricket than any other seam bowler, will become the 68th male to be inducted.

"I am honoured that the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame voting academy, which includes all the current living Hall of Famers, have nominated and voted me to be inducted into the Hall of Fame," the 42-year-old said.

McGrath will be named as an official member of the Hall of Fame during the third Test between Australia and Sri Lanka at the Sydney Cricket Ground, joining Brian Lara and Enid Bakewell on this year's list of inductees.

"I am very much looking forward to celebrating the occasion on 4 January with not only my friends and family, but all those at the SCG which of course is like a second home to me," he added.

McGrath took 563 wickets during his Test career at an average of 21.64.
