Mitchell Johnson expects to succeed in ODI series

Mitchell Johnson believes that he will cause more problems for the England batsmen in the limited-overs format.

Mitchell Johnson has insisted that he will continue to trouble England's batsmen when he makes his return to the Australian side in the one-day international series.

The left-arm fast bowler was rested for the victory in the first match on Sunday after taking 37 wickets as Australia completed a 5-0 whitewash in the Test series.

"You can still use your short-pitched ball and be aggressive. I really enjoy bowling with the white ball, I think it swings a lot more and I think you can still be as intimidating with the white ball so it doesn't change a thing for me," Johnson told reporters.

"It definitely makes a difference, being able to be a bowler that can bowl at that 150 mark. It definitely helps with the intimidation factor.

"There's more to it than that, just bowling fast. One-day cricket is a very skilful game and I'll be looking to use my skills in the one-day format."

The second ODI takes place on Friday in Brisbane.
