Mike Hussey to miss England ODI series because of family reasons

Hussey to miss England ODI series

The premature birth of Mike Hussey's fourth child has meant that the big hitter will miss the upcoming one-day series against England.

Hussey, 37, who is one of the Aussie's biggest dangers with the bat, said: "Due to our baby being born three months early, it is important for the family for me to be here at this time.

"It is always difficult to miss any tour for Australia and I thank CA (Cricket Australia) for their understanding of our family's situation."

Hussey, who has notched 5,262 runs in 181 one-day internationals, will be replaced by Queensland batsman Peter Forrest for the tour.

The first ODI takes place at Lord's on June 29.
