Anthony Fowler: "I can do everything"

Team England boxer Anthony Fowler oozes confidence after booking his spot in the final of the middleweight division at the Commonwealth Games.

Team England boxer Anthony Fowler once more revealed his supreme confidence after booking his spot in the final of the middleweight division at the Commonwealth Games.

Fowler, who has been one of the stars of the competition, overcame Benny Muziyo in routine fashion to advance into the final, where he will meet Vijender Vjender.

"I can do everything, I can box, I can fight, I can counter-punch, I can protect leads, I can come from behind. I've got a little bit of everything, which I try and incorporate into my gameplan," he told Sports Mole.

"I don't want to have any weaknesses so I work on everything I can and tonight I brawled the brawler."

Fowler was also asked about a tweet from managing director of Matchroom Sport Eddie Hearn, who compared the boxer to four-time world champion Carl Froch.

"Yeah, I have been compared to Carl Froch since I was 18. Carl even said himself that I remind him of himself so that is a massive compliment," Fowler added.

"Obviously I've got a long way to go to achieve half of what he has, but I know with hard work and dedication I can achieve what he has achieved."

Fowler's opponent Vijender overcame Northern Ireland's Connor Coyle in the semi-finals.
