Robson Conceicao: 'Judges are biased towards Great Britain'

Conceicao: 'Judges are biased'

Brazilian lightweight Robson Conceicao has slammed the judges at the London Olympics as "biased" towards his British opponent Josh Taylor after his 13-9 defeat.

Conceicao was the aggressor in the pair's bout but Taylor was given the result after some solid defence and counter-attacking, but the Brazilian has claimed the result was given to the Brit because of home support.

"The judges were very malicious," Conceicao said. "It's not fair because I think the judges favoured him because of the crowd and that shouldn't happen in a competition like this.

"It hurts a lot, I was fighting really well, making the points and the referees didn't give it. I'm sad."

Conceicao lost to Yang Li in the first round in Beijing.
