Abdelmalek Rahou of Algeria has beaten Australia's Jesse Ross in the final middleweight bout of the day.
There was nothing to separate the two men after the opening three minutes, and the judges scored it four point apiece.
Ross threw plenty of punches, but many of them were hitting the Algerian's gloves.
Rahou grasped the initiative early in the second round and took a two-point lead into the last round.
The Australian stepped up a gear in the third round as he tried desperately to save his Olympic dream.
However, the judges were not impressed, as Rahou evaded most of his shots and advanced by virtue of a 13-11 scoreline.
