Rick Carlisle: 'San Antonio Spurs were at their best in Game Seven'

Carlisle: 'Spurs were at their best'

Dallas Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle has admitted that the San Antonio Spurs had their best game of the series as they knocked his side out of the playoffs with a game seven victory on Sunday.

The Mavs came up short as they exited courtesy of a 4-3 series defeat, with the Spurs coming out of their final game as 119-96 victors at the AT&T Center.

"We got hit by a tidal wave early. They had their best game today," Carlisle told reporters after the game.

"They're the best of the best, and they've been great for a long time. They've got a great chance, obviously."

The Spurs will now face the Portland Trail Blazers in the first game of the semi-finals on Tuesday.
