Orlando Sanchez signs for New York Knicks

The New York Knicks announce the signing of 26-year-old forward Orlando Sanchez, as coach Derek Fisher begins to prepare his squad for the forthcoming season.

The New York Knicks have announced the signing of forward Orlando Sanchez.

President of basketball operations Phil Jackson released the news on Wednesday, with Sanchez spending his time at St John's University last season.

During his last campaign with the college side, the 26-year-old averaged 7.4 points and 1.4 rebounds over 22.3 minutes in 32 games.

Sanchez has also represented the Dominican Republic national team and New York's Monroe College.
