Anthony Davis overcomes shoulder injury to face Detroit Pistons

New Orleans Pelicans forward Anthony Davis will return from injury against the Detroit Pistons tonight.

Davis has missed the last five games with a shoulder injury, but coach Monty Williams has said that he performed well in training this week.

He told reporters: "Yes, he has been chomping at the bit to get back on the floor. His workouts have gone well. He had a really good workout yesterday and a semi-workout this morning and passed everything with flying colours. We are happy to have him back in the lineup."

Davis averages 23.9 points a game so far this season.
