Flip Saunders expects Love to stay with Minnesota Timberwolves

Minnesota Timberwolves president Flip Saunders says that he expects power forward Kevin Love to remain with the team for the 2014-15 NBA season.

Flip Saunders has said that he expects Kevin Love to remain with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the 2014-15 NBA season.

The power forward has a year left on his contract with the team, but has been linked with a move elsewhere during the off-season.

The team's president told reporters: "The last I knew Kevin was under contract with us, and I expect him to be playing for us next year.

"I don't really dictate where guys go on vacation or what they do. They can go wherever they want to go.

"I know there's a feeding frenzy out there from a lot of teams. Unfortunately, they have no say. I plan on Kevin being here."

Love averaged 26.1 points per game last season.
