Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant had breakfast with Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo on Thursday, but it was apparently not related to talking about a trade deal.
The two stars had reportedly planned the meeting for weeks as the Lakers prepare to face the Celtics in Boston on Friday night, ESPN reports.
While there are no active talks between the two franchises involving a trade for Rondo, it has previously been reported that the Lakers have enquired about the 28-year-old's status.
Rondo will be a free agent this summer but the Celtics have stated that they would be keen to re-sign him to a new deal.
However, it is understood that if Boston were keen on opening up negotiations again they would most likely ask for at least one first-round Draft pick in return.
