Jordan Hill leads Los Angeles Lakers to victory

Hill leads Lakers past Pistons

Jordan Hill recorded career-high figures on Sunday night to help the Los Angeles Lakers to a 114-99 victory over the Detroit Pistons.

The former first-round pick scored 24 points and claimed 17 points for the Lakers, who produced a dominant display in the second half to earn their fourth home win of the season.

It was the visitors who started the game impressively at the Staples Center and Brandon Jennings, who scored 23 points, looked in top form as the Pistons headed into the half time break with a six-point lead.

However, the Lakers hit back in the third quarter by outscoring the Pistons 29-15 to claim the advantage ahead of the final period.

Mike D'Antoni's team scored 16 unanswered points either side of the break between the third and the fourth quarter, while Detroit missed six field goals and three free throws during the same run.

The lead continued to be extended by the hosts and not even a trio of late three-point efforts from Jennings could prevent the Lakers from easing to the win.
