Suns remain cautious on Gasol

The Phoenix Suns will wait until Los Angeles Lakers center Pau Gasol recovers from a groin strain before advancing talks over a trade deal.

The Spaniard, who is expected to miss the next three games with the injury, revealed that he had a PRP injection to help heal the strain.

However, it is understood that Phoenix are keen to see how Gasol recovers before deciding to take talks to the next level ahead of the deadline on February 20, ESPN reports.

Gasol is averaging 20.8 points and 11.9 rebounds in January, and he has been involved in trade talks already this season.
