Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling will reportedly allow wife Shelly Sterling to negotiate the sale of the team.

Disgraced Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling has reportedly agreed to let his wife, Shelly Sterling, negotiate the sale of the team.

The 80-year-old was given a lifetime ban by the NBA last month after being recorded making racist comments, with the league now seeking to force the sale of the franchise.

According to ESPN, Mrs Sterling has been in talks with the league to take charge of the sale since the punishment was announced, but the NBA is yet to agree to let her handle the sale.

Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr, talkshow host Oprah Winfrey and rapper Sean Combs have all been linked to the purchase of the team.
