Los Angeles Clippers guard Austin Rivers has been fined by the NBA for throwing a seat cushion which struck a fan during the game against the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night.
The Clippers started the season by beating Sacramento 111-104, but it was Rivers who attracted attention after the win when it was revealed that a moment of frustration ended with a cushion striking a female supporter in the face.
According to USA Today, the woman was struck in the eye and the NBA has responded by handing Rivers a $25,000 (£16,300) fine.
The 23-year-old finished the night with six points in 16 minutes.
