Doc Rivers: 'Chris Paul will play against Philadelphia 76ers'

Rivers confirms Paul return

Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers has confirmed that Chris Paul will make his return from injury against the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday night.

Paul has been out of action since separating his shoulder on January 3, and Rivers admits that the point guard could struggle to find his rhythm for a short period.

"I think it's going to take Chris some time to get his rhythm back," he told reporters.

"That's why I am hoping he is healthy and we can play him Sunday, have a practice on Tuesday and play him Wednesday. I think that helps.

"I think it's going to take a couple weeks for him to get his rhythm back, no doubt."

Paul has averaged 19.6 points this season.
