New Indiana Pacers deal for head coach Frank Vogel

Head coach Frank Vogel has signed a new long-term contract with the Indiana Pacers.

The 41-year-old will begin his fourth full season with the Pacers when the 2014-15 season begins later this month.

In his three seasons in charge of the NBA team, Vogel has led them to the Eastern Conference finals on two occasions and the semi-finals the other.

"We're very happy to extend Frank's contract," said Hall-of-Famer Larry Bird, who is the team's president of basketball operations.

"I believe he has done a great job and I look forward to continuing our relationship and working together to achieve all of our goals."

Indiana, who were the top seed in the East last season, begin their 2014-15 campaign with a home game against the Philadelphia 76ers on October 29.
