Jeremy Lin eyes "celebration" in Taiwan

Houston Rockets guard Jeremy Lin has revealed that he is relishing the prospect of playing in his homeland.

The Rockets will face the Indiana Pacers in Taipei in a pre-season game on Sunday, and it will be a special occasion for the league's first American-born player of Taiwanese descent.

"I kind of see this as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," Lin told a news conference. "Definitely, I am looking forward to it. It's a celebration in some sense."

Coach Kevin McHale also praised him for the hard work he has put in over the summer and expects him to get better.
