NBA roundup: Wins for Golden State Warriors, Oklahoma City Thunder, San Antonio Spurs

Sports Mole rounds up Sunday night's seven-game fixture list in the NBA, with big wins for the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs.

The Golden State Warriors strengthened their position at the top of the Western Conference with a convincing victory over the Los Angeles Clippers in one of seven NBA games on Sunday night.

It was the Warriors' 26th home win out of 28 this season, with Draymond Green's 23 points and six assists the standout performance.

Russell Westbrook's outstanding recent play continued as he recorded his fifth triple-double in six games to help the Oklahoma City Thunder beat the Toronto Raptors.

The point-guard, who is the NBA's leading scorer this season, had 30 points, matched a career high with 17 assists and grabbed 11 rebounds as OKC ended a two-game losing streak.

The San Antonio Spurs notched their fifth win in a row by cruising past the Chicago Bulls in the day's early game at AT&T Center.

Tony Parker top-scored with 32 points, but it wasn't such a good night for fellow Spur Tim Duncan, who failed to make a field goal for the first time in his 18-year NBA career.

The Dallas Mavericks inflicted a fifth straight defeat on the Los Angeles Lakers with a 100-93 triumph at Staples Center.

Monta Ellis led the way for the Mavs, who won just their second game in six, with 31 points on 12-22 shooting.

The improving Utah Jazz got the better of the struggling Brooklyn Nets in a 95-88 win at Barclays Center.

Gordon Hayward led the way for the visitors with 24 points, while Brook Lopez and Thaddeus Young both had 19 in defeat for Brooklyn.

The Charlotte Hornets won their fifth game in a row to climb into the Eastern Conference playoff spots as they rallied from behind to edge out the Detroit Pistons.

Charlotte trailed by eight at half time, but ran out seven-point winners largely thanks to a 30-17 fourth quarter, with Detroit losing their sixth game in a row.

The Orlando Magic put a dent in the Boston Celtics' playoff hopes with a five-point win at Amway Center.

Victor Oladipo was the game's top scorer with 22 points and also added seven rebounds and five assists for the hosts.
