Stephen Curry in position to start All-Star game

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is in position to start the All-Star game.

Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry is in position to start this year's All-Star game, according to the latest released figures.

Curry moved past Chris Paul into second place among Western Conference guards, after the Los Angeles Clippers star suffered a shoulder injury.

Kobe Bryant continues to lead the way in the West, with the results of the voting to be announced on January 23.

The Warriors star was snubbed last season despite averaging 20.9 points per game, the eighth-leading scorer at the time.
