Report: Chicago Bulls, Jimmy Butler agree new deal

Report: Butler closes in on Bulls deal

Shooting guard Jimmy Butler is edging closer to a new contract with the Chicago Bulls, according to reports.

The 25-year-old was selected as the NBA's most improved player in 2014, while he also made his first All-Star team.

Butler has been linked with a move to the Los Angeles Lakers, but The AP claims that a new five-year deal worth £57.6m has been agreed just one year after he rejected a less lucrative offer.

Butler averaged 20 points per game last season.
