Chicago Bulls beat Milwaukee Bucks in double overtime

Bulls beat Bucks in double overtime

The Chicago Bulls extended their lead in the first round of the NBA playoffs against the Milwaukee Bucks with a 113-106 victory, giving them a 3-0 series lead.

The Bucks were ahead at half time, having led by 18 midway through the second quarter, but Derrick Rose made sure that the visitors took control in the second half, helping establish a 10-point lead for Chicago with less than three minutes remaining.

Tony Snell started the fightback for Milwaukee before Khris Middleton made eight in the last 90 seconds, while a late missed free throw from Rose forced the game into overtime.

The sides could not be separated in the first extra spell, but Jimmy Butler put the Bulls ahead early in the second overtime, intercepting a wayward pass from Giannis Antetokounmpo to start an 8-0 run for Chicago.

The Bulls made four steals in the period to put the win beyond doubt, leaving them able to clinch a spot in the Eastern Conference semi-final with victory in game four on Saturday.
