NBA roundup: Miami Heat extend winning run

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from the Christmas Day fixtures in the NBA.

The Miami Heat clinched their sixth win in a row with a Christmas Day victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.

Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade both scored 23 points for the defending NBA champions, as the Heat opened up a lead in the second quarter, before holding on after the break.

The Oklahoma City Thunder cruised to a win over the New York Knicks, beating their hosts by the biggest ever margin for a road team at Christmas.

The Knicks were without top scorer Carmelo Anthony, allowing Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook to dominate the game, combining for 43 points.

A quick start helped the Houston Rockets seal the win against the San Antonio Spurs.

James Harden topped the scoring with 28 points as the visitors surged to a 15-point lead at the end of the opening 12 minutes, and the Rockets were never able to recover.

The Chicago Bulls rallied in the second half to thrash the Brooklyn Nets.

The visitors had been a point behind early in the third quarter, but Jimmy Butler, who missed the previous game with an ankle injury, led the charge to give the Bulls the win.

The Golden State Warriors finished strongly against the Los Angeles Clippers to take victory.

Chris Paul attempted a shot with one second remaining while Jamal Crawford tried a three-pointer on the buzzer, but the Clippers could not find a way back.

The bad-tempered meeting saw Blake Griffin ejected for tangling with the Warriors' Andrew Bogut, while the home side had Draymond Green dismissed in the third quarter.

Results in full: Chicago Bulls 95-78 Brooklyn Nets, Oklahoma City Thunder 123-94 New York Knicks, Miami Heat 101-95 Los Angeles Lakers, Houston Rockets 111-98 San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Clippers 103-105 Golden State Warriors
